Wheel Thrown Ceramics
Every vessel begins as a ball of mud. Thrown onto the wheel, the ball of clay is transformed into a vessel ready for use. Through years of practice and patience, I have learned the ups and downs of wheel thrown pottery. It all began in August of 2023, when I chose a college ceramics course. Two days a week for sixteen weeks, I was hunched over a Shimpo pottery wheel. We were instructed to throw a minimum of ten pieces on the wheel and six vessels built by hand. See more of this collection under the Grade School Portfolio section! Since graduating with my Associate Arts, I hope to continue my ceramics education through a visual arts degree or at an artist residency.
